In addition to the cottages, the Camps featured a tea room and a recreation area. A steamer can be seen in the bay to the left of "The Monument" which marks the location of Steele's ledge. Originally placed there in 1828, it was washed away as was its replacement. The present structure dates to 1888. The steamer is one of the sister ships "Belfast" or "Camden". On the far right is a gas pump featuring Socony gas. The drums with mounted hand pumps to the right are likely for lubricating oils.
