LB2007.1.11712

A view of the Golden Glow cabins in Colchester, Vermont. Same view as LB2007.1.11711 but without the title. The simple cabins each have a screened in porch and an Adirondak chair in front. A couple of the cabins are connected to each other with roof bridge. The sign in front states "Golden Glow Delux Cabins; Welcome, .75 cents up; Heated Cabins." "These were located on the Golden Glow Farm, on the east side of Munson Flats, on routes 2 & 7 in Colchester, Vermont (near the intersection with Coon Hill Road). This is about a mile south of where route 2 splits off and heads to the Champlain Islands. It later was the site of Countryside Motors. I heard from a woman who said that her grandparents, Elwin and Shirley Sweeney, ran the cabins." -- Robert Blanchard 2023
