Otter Creek Bridge, Otter Creek, Me. 3a.
"Otter Creek Bridge, Otter Creek, Me. 3a." Otter Creek Bridge, Waterway "Due to the need to access the eastern part of Otter Creek, a bridge was built across Otter Cove in the 1880s. It was destroyed on January 25, 1889, before it could be finished, and was later rebuilt. In 1913 a new bridge was constructed and used until 1923 when it taken out of service. In 1936 the National Park Service started construction on the current stone and concrete bridge, which was completed in 1939. I wonder if this might be the 1913 bridge, based solely on its new appearance and the era of the rest of these pictures."--Willie Granston, 2011
