Blaisdell's Park, Northport Maine, Cook Belfast

"Blaisdell's Park, Northport Maine, Cook Belfast" Blaisdell's Park, People, Children, Group Portrait, Buildings "..corner of Sea and Bay streets.." --Bayside Historical Preservation Society, 2009/2010 "This is a photo of our cottage, which was Tuttle's first photo studio in Bayside. It was build around 1900. It was purchased and moved "up the hill" to Oak Street by my Great Grandmother, Hannah Jane Stubbs. Those are my ancestors in the photo, the Thorndike family. [The] address of [the] cottage is 11 Oak Street, Northport, ME. From left to right: Rena May Thorndike (my aunt), Lida May Knowles-Smith (my great aunt), Jenny Robins Knowles-Thorndike (my grandmother), William (Bill) K. Thorndike (my uncle) and Olivia Jane Thorndike-Atkinson (my mother). Those swings went way up in the air and were part of Blaisdell Park. We loved to swing on them. This photo was taken around 1935. It's still there and mostly the same as it was many years ago. There are still Thorndikes, Atkinsons and Cooks there each summer." --Olivia Jane Atkinson-Cook, 2015
