Weddell Home. Limerick Me. 47.
"Weddell Home. Limerick Me. 47." Image shows an imposing Greek Revival residence off a dirt road. The front yard is set off by a formal stone wall, and a driveway leads to the back of the house. The house has a later-date polygonal tower addition. This may have been the home of the playwright Frank Weddell, from Limerick, Maine, who is listed in the publication "Dramatic Compositions Copyrighted in the United States, 1870 to 1916", for his three act farce-comedy "Antidote" in 1915. As something of a local celebrity around the time the picture was taken, it seems possible that this, "the Weddell Residence", was his home.
