A view of the Vaughan House in Caribou, Maine. This hotel was first built in the late 1800's and burned and was rebuilt several times before it burned for the last time in 1953, just 5 years after this photo was taken. It was replaced in 1956 by the Hotel Caribou. This large 4 story building sits up from the road on a small hill. Vintage automobiles are parked in front.
