Upper Main Street - Freeport, Maine C 63

Tall elm trees and houses of varying architectural styles line a quiet stretch of Main Street in Freeport, Maine. A few cars —mostly sedans, one probably a 1949 Ford— are parked along the street or driving away from the photographer. A sign affixed to one tree trunk on the left side of the street advertises the old Cape behind it as being for sale by Henry Baribeau at 52 Pleasant St. A parked bicycle is just visible in front of a two-storey house with a dustpan dormer on the right hand side of the street. A bracket hangs from a tree at the side of this house and supports a sign reading "ANTIQUES".
