Rileys Station, Riley ME. 3.
The image is of the railroad line and station at Riley, Maine, just north of Jay and Livermore Falls. An immense pile of logs stands ready for processing in the mill, which is obscured by the pile. The passenger station is a simple structure, identified by the sign, "Riley's". The scene is typical of this section of the Androscoggin River, where large pulp mills lined the river just downstream in Southern Jay and Chisholm/Livermore Falls.
