Store and Landing, Fosters Point, Maine 9. "Old Gaol Museum" -- (Village Jail) -- 1653 ,, York Village, Maine C43

Image of two small frame buildings perched on stone piers and cribbing amid the natural boulders of a shoreline, connected by walkways to a ramp and float in the water. Assorted row boats are tied up or lie pulled up on the beach. The two buildings, which are more like shacks, are marked with signs advertising to boat traffic. The nearer shack bears two signs reading "Gasolene." Another sign lists additional items, including "Batteries" and "Gas Engine Supplies." The other shack has a large roof sign saying "Groceries."
