SHOOTING STAR

SHOOTING STAR was photographed after her launch in Friendship, Maine, on March 23, 1982. The fiberglass lobster boat was built by Nelson (Sonny) Lash for lobsterman John Bickford, Jr. of Vinalhaven, Maine. The boat was 37 feet long with a 12 foot beam and draft of 3 1/2 feet. Her cuddy cabin included two bunks and was heated. She had a Cummins diesel engine rated at 215 hp.
