Christened by Mrs Hazel Gifford, a sister of Eric Lowther. Ship went out so quickly on the first try that Mrs Gifford missed. Later the retrieved bottle was used for a dockside christening shown here. Built at Goudy and Stevens, 1973. 86 foot steel stern trawler privately financed, leading to a lawsuit that delayed her moving to New Bedford, Massachusetts which would be her homeport as a part of the fleet of Lowther Inc. With a 23 foot beam and a 9 foot draft at midships, her fish holds measure out at 34,000 cubic feet capable of holding 136,000 pounds of fish.
