February 11, 1975 - George I. "Sonny" Hodgdon planing a mahogany plank for a 36' sport and off-shore fishing boat, started on speculation as a prototype of a Walter McInnis design. He kept the boa, launching it GRETCHEN. After he had sold his interest in Hodgdon Bros.in 1971, he had built a shop behind his home and kept working.
