Schooner HARVEY GAMAGE -August 1, 1977. Constructed by the Gamage Boat Yard - South Bristol, Me. in 1973 for Dirigo Cruises Inc. headed by Eben Whitcomb, Jr. of Clinton, Conn. (formerly Ellsworth, Me.) & Robert "Ken" Hamilton of Nobleboro, Me. (formerly Peekskill,N.Y.) This 95' top-sail schooner is made from native Maine woods, unlike most of the steel and fiberglass ships being produced these days.
