SIRONA

SIRONA - named for queen of Celtic goddesses - has been described as the fastest yacht ever built in Maine and possibly New England. Designed by Olin Stephens and built by Paul Luke for James and Julie Michael of San Francisco, Ca. SIRONA measures 58'6" overall , weighs 28,000 pounds, has an 80' mast, and carries a selection of 19 sails - with her sail area measured at 1,470 square feet - made of aluminum - seen here starboard side - under sail. SIRONA is powered with a Volvo diesel engine - she has a crew of 15 men and an array of races lined up.
