ELIZABETH K. HOWARD - Built in East Boothbay, Me. in 1916 at the W.I. Adams Yard. Known as a salt banker and popularly called the "White Ghost". A fishing schooner, she came in second , almost earning the right to represent the U.S. in the International Fisherman Races in 1920. LOA 119'6", beam 25', draft 11'4", 142 tons. Captained by William W. Howard , a New Yorker. Built on a design by Frank F. McManus. Wrecked on Porter's Island, Nova Scotia in 1923. (COPY NEGATIVE) See negative envelope for more information.
