TAPPAN

TAPPAN, a 35 ft. wooden lobster boat, was built in Edward "Buddy" Poland 's shop at Round Pond, Maine, for his 20 year old son Frank. Fred Tappan was one of the principal builders and the boat was named in his honor. Launching took place May 27, 1979. Before that could happen the cradle and trailer had be freed from some soft earth in front of the shop.
