TAPPAN
TAPPAN, a 35 ft. wooden lobster boat, was built in Edward "Buddy" Poland 's shop at Round Pond, Maine, for his 20 year old son Frank. Fred Tappan was one of the principal builders and the boat was named in his honor. In this picture the new boat rests on a cradle outside the shop before the May 27, 1979 launch.
