Rockport Apprentice Shop
The ROBERT H. BAKER, a traditonal gaff-rigged sloop, can be rowed as well as sailed. She is pictured on the day of her lauch, August 7, 1985, at the Rockport Apprenticeshop, Rockport, Maine. The non-profit wooden boat school operated in Rockport, Maine, from 1982 to 1992. It was founded in Bath, Maine, in 1972. From 1992-1995 it was in Nobleboro and in 1995 moved to Rockland, Maine, where it continues in its 50th year in 2022.
