Snow Shipyard, Rockland, ME; Acquired by the Navy 4 November 1940; Placed in service as USS Egret (AMc 24), 10 June 1941; Reclassified as a Unclassified Miscellaneous Auxiliary, IX-181, 17 July 1944 Placed out of service 17 June 1946 and transferred to the Maritime Commission for disposal; Struck from the Navy Register in February 1946. Fate unknown.
