Old, intriguing image that was identified by Frank Claes as schooner-2 ADA B., built 1887, and by Coffin as scene probably in Portland in 1860. Vessel is being used for Elephant Man exhibit, with sails/tarps rigged over the deck. Coffin's notes debate Portland vs. New Bedford. Three men are on deck, one who could be the promoter, and one could be the Elephant Man.
