Stockton Springs, Maine 1906. Photo shows train station in winter with several buildings along both sides of tracks and houses in upper left side of photo. There is a locomotive and train on the tracks and the station master is standing in the doorway. The station was at the end of Station Street, near the Harbor. It was bought and moved down onto Cape Jellison and is being used as a house. The Colcords who lived at the top of Station Street owned all the land down to the shoreline. The Colcords made a deal with the railroad company to put the station on their land and gave them a right-of-way. Earlier, the street was called Railroad Avenue and only went halfway down. This collection of postcards was made available to PMM to copy by Mark Bradstreet of Downeast Auction in Searsport.
