Halfway Rock Light is located on a barren ledge offshore of Maine's Casco Bay, half way between Cape Small and Cape Elizabeth. It was built by Gen. J.C. Duane in 1871, and was automated in 1975. The lighthouse and adjoining entry structure are centered on the ledge with two fog horn towers set away from main buildings. The fog towers, as well as some additional structures added over the years, have all been swept away by storms. See also LB2015.15.50 for a slightly closer view.
