Ram Island Light stands 100 feet offshore of Ram Island, which lies south of Linekin Neck in East Boothbay, Maine on the west side of the entrance to the Damariscotta River. It was built by Col. Charles E. Blunt and Major C.W. Raymond in 1883. The light was automated in 1965. This view was taken from the water as the lighthouse, in center, and attending walkway were being lapped by waves. Beyond the walkway the two small frame buildings are in view.
