This photograph shows a view of Stickney Corner ME taken from Calderwood Rd. looking east. Stickney Corner is part of Washington, ME. In this photograph we see a dirt road with houses, a barn and some outbuildings. Utility poles line the road. The farm house on the left was owned by Sidney Humes. The first building on the right was the original framed building in Washington, built in approximately 1800 and was razed in the 1950s. Beyond it can be seen the Cooke & Co. Store. The cooper shop is to the right of the store."View looking east along Calderwood Road toward the intersection of Waldoboro Road (Route 220) and Calderwood Road. The house and barn to the left were extant in 2018, as were some of the more distant buildings at right. The building in the center of LB2022.26.25 is visible beyond the “end” of the road. The point of view is easterly from 44.245603, -69.384907, more or less." -- Ben Stickney 2023
