View at Stickney Cor ME, 9,
This photograph gives us a view of Stickney Corner, which is part of Washington, Maine. On the right we see a house with two young boys sitting out in front. The next building on the right is the Stickney Corner Post Office. A young women and child can be seen out front. At the top of the hill there is a barn with a large pile of wooden barrels in front. Utility poles line the road. This view is looking up Calderwoods Rd. toward the intersection with Waldoboro Rd., currently route 220. The building on the right was the store and residence of J. Davis who made a linemint cure all. The 2nd house on the right was the post office whose sign now hangs in the Washington Historical Society. The barn in the upper left was a coopers shop which made barrells for the Rockland lime industry.
