Ten Oaks Cottage

Charles Coombs' Ten Oaks Cottage Charles Coombs' summer cabin, named Ten Oaks, is on Tilden Pond in Belmont, Maine, about six miles southwest of the middle of Belfast. In this winter scene one can see the cottage and its adjacent boat house (note: boat ramp to the pond) where Coombs kept his boat, LITTLE ELVA. Between the camp and the boat house one can see a horse hitched to a sleigh (perhaps Bob as he was a favorite of Coombs). To the right is Coombs' dog Victor sitting in the sleigh.
