A postcard photo: "Village Blacksmith Shop, Sedgwick, ME". A haxagonal one-story barn with roof sloping up to a cupola, the blacksmith shop was located in an area of Sedgwick called "Mill Brow." in the 1880's. Three horse-drawn buggies and several men are in front. It was used as a postcard in 1998 with a note: "Brooklin-Sedgwick Historical Soc. Pot Luck Supper, Friday, April 7. Please reply 359.2260 or .8977. Chez(?) Jane & Bob Sargent, Starboard Watch, Sargentville 04673." and was addressed to Linda Long & John O'Brien, PO Box 63, Segwick 04676" and was postmarked "Eastern ME 044(?), 1 April, 1998." A US 20 cent stamp with a blue jay was used for postage.
