Yacht Race, Eagle Island, ME
A postcard photo: "Yacht Race, Eagle Island, ME." About nine sailboats racing off a small island in East Penobscot Bay. Eagle Island, seen in the distance, was the summer home of Admiral Robert Edwin Peary who, in 1909, was the first person to reach the North Pole. The island is now a national historic site.
