J W Paris Store in Sedgwick, ME

A two-story shop with a porch in front and the owner's name, "J W Paris", over the door, and a sign advertising "Baker's Flavoring Extracts". A man, and a boy and his bicycle are in front; a horse and buggy are in the road. The photo is printed on postcard stock. Stores & shops Horses Buggies Men Boys The John W. Paris general store operated from 1914-27. From 1928 until 1945 the store was owned and operated by Mary Paris and Allyn Weising. Ralph Warman rented it and ran it for one year, 1945-6. Foster Young sold electrical appliances, 1946-8 and Charlie Young was in charge from 1948-62. David McCarthy took over after 1962. It is now a private residence.
