Caissons on Barges for Deer Isle Bridge

A series of small docks with buildings, a dredge, and loaded barges. One of the buildings has a sign "Yacht Supplies" on the roof. This is a more recent photo of the wharf, about 1937. It shows extensive equipment to be used in constructing the bridge to Deer Isle. Of particular interest are the caissons which are on anchored barges. Also the wharf building has been lowered.
