WINFRED WORTH and MINNIE V. Atlantic Fisherman ran stories from up and down the East Coast. Here in Portland are three vessels, in September of 1925, when engine-only fishing vessels were starting to become more common. Minnie V is new, a fifty-footer built in Kennebunkport in 1925 for Minnie V. Nickerson of Fairhaven. The others look to be schooners that have had engines installed and were being converted to dragging nets.
