PALMER was built in Bath, Maine in 1898 and owned by J. S. Winslow & Co. of Portland, Maine. Length: 295 feet Breadth: 44 feet Depth: 22 feet 2440 gross tons 2244 net tons The NATHANIEL T. PALMER departed November 16, 1911, in ballast, from Portland, Maine for Norfolk, Virginia and sank December 6, 1911 after a series of storms which drove here off course and left her a waterlogged derelict. She was abandoned, off Bermuda. Plate came in with Eastern Collection but unlikely to be Eastern negative.
