The photo, taken from the road, shows a one and one-half story cape farmhouse with connected backhouse and barns. The house has distinctly Greek Revival proportions and details, including entryway pilasters with Ionic caps and quarter-round windows in the gable, dating it to the 1830s or 40s. Two automobiles are parked in the shade of a tree. An American flag flies from the top of a tall pole near the front of the house. Part of a field and fencing is visible on the left. A painted wooden lattice screening the large barn from the parking spot suggests that the property is no longer a working farm. The 1951 Studebaker Commander (partially obscured by second automobile) dates this photo in the early 1950s.
