On the right (white clapboard building) is the Eastern Illustrating & Publishing Co.. Behind that is the North Congregationalist Church and behind that, the County Courthouse. Among the carts and carriages can be seen (on the right) a wagon with a large wooden barrel which may be to carry water to spray on the streets to reduce airborn dust. Mid-block on the left is Poor's Drug Store and past that the Masonic Temple can be seen with its corner tower peeking above a nearer building.
