Pulp Pile, St. Croix Paper Co., Woodland, Me. 17b.
Photo shows a Pulpwood Block Pile made up of 4 foot softwood pulp logs. These are floated down St Croix River and hauled out of the mill pond by a pulpwood block conveyor, visible at top of pile. Several thousand cords are stored to feed the mill. Mill building shown at the right of frame.
