"[Oak Hill Poultry Farm Winterport , Me. 3.]" Oak Hill Poultry Farm, Horse, 2 People in Wagon, Agriculture, Dairy, Residence Oak Hill Poultry Farm, Winterport , Maine ca. 1910 This photograph shows the home of Fredrick Woodman, circa 1910, taken from the Rancourt Road area. The house is still owned by the Woodman family. The house was built in 1902. The main road by the house, Lebanon Road, runs close to the front of the house, between the smaller buildings and the house. When this picture was taken, the Woodman family operated a chicken farm, Oak Hill Poultry Farm. The smaller buildings in the foreground were range shelters, and the long buildings around the home housed the grown chickens. Only the dwelling house is still there. Oak Hill is visible behind the house. Approximately 47 years ago, Winterport minister, Rev. Wilson, began holding an Easter Sunrise Service on the top of this hill, which is still happening as of 2016. Caption Information Provided by Arlene Woodman
