Image shows a mid-19th century residence with an attached carriage house. The house has a later-19th century tower and architectural details, including a fanciful tower with a pyramidal roof. It is a relatively elaborate property for the island. According to the Postcard History Series, "This house backing up on Northwest Harbor in Deer Isle village was built by Dr. Cecil Ernest Wasgatt. Born on Mount Desert, he graduated from Maine Medical School in 1882. He practiced first in California but returned to live and practice on Deer Isle, serving the community with ability and care with a reputation as a skillful and conscientious doctor until 1926. Capt. Henry K. Morey bought the house in the 1940s. It is now being restored by Stephen Kydd." [n.f.
