The Hotel Stonington and the Opera House are visible at the far right. A Friendship sloop at center, other fishing sloops and various dories lie at moorings in the harbor. Part of a scow can be seen at the far left. Stonington's characteristic smooth granites ledges are visible in the harbor at the left as well as in between buildings in the townscape.
