The post office was torn down, but I can remember it from my youth. The house next to the post office is still there, and most interestingly to me, the house with the porch on it is still there. The porch is gone, but the house is there, and my father was born in that house! He used to brag he was the last baby born in Spruce Head. After him, babies were born in Knox Hospital in Rockland.
