Associated with this figure are miniature bronze candle holders. A rat hides on his back. Associated with this figure is a miniature bronze candle holder (2 pieces) (candle holder newcats = 1958.0011.001.002 and 1958.0011.001.003). Origin China. Visitor to the museum in 1996 says this sculpture is Japanese and not Chinese. The Japanese characters are Chinese-derived and thus the confusion. See notes in the file.
