USEFUL, utility launch by J.O. Brown
Length 22' 4", beam 6'3" planked utility launch USEFUL. Built by J.O. Brown & Son on North Haven for Senator Leverett Saltonstall of Boston and his family, c. 1922. According to donor, these boats were known as "market boats" because they were used to go to town and get supplies. Numerous boats built from the same molds.
