Canvas covered peapod, "The Boat"
14'L x 50.5" canvas-covered wooden peapod, "The Boat." Built by an unknown boatbuilder c. 1872 for Howard F Cole of Sedgwick, and Brewer Maine and past on to his son, Raymond F. Cole of Brewer. It was used and enjoyed by family and friends for years at their cottage at Holbrook Pond in Holden. Peapod has white exterior and dark wood interior. Museum purchase made possible by Ted Leonard.
