Sewing/Writing Box, sandalwood sewing/writing box which was L1994.15 Donor is wife of William Pendleton. From condition report in object file: "carved sandalwood sewing box with inlaid trim. Handles. Metal feet molded to represent animal feet. Top is hinged. Mirror in lid. Removable tray with 13 boxes with lift out tops. Below tray there is another hinged section lined with purple velvet." Box contained: 41 calling cards, 1 valentine, tintype of baby siting in chair, found pin (broach) bearing photograph of young boy
