Hooked rug depicting a schooner

Textile, household: hooked rug depicting a schooner Portrait of a schooner under sail - no people. Looks like a painting or photo. Muted colors not too faded. Black border. Mixture of yarn and other woven materials used to make rung. Julie Mattison of Searsport Rug Hooking thinks it is probably Canadian. Mildred Peladeau's comment: "It is difficult to say without closer examination (she looked at a photo only), but I would almost bet this one is Canadian maritime. It looks as though it is made of brin (raveled burlap) and the muted colors are very distinctive of Nova Scotia". 3/2008.
