McLoon Lobster Company Notebook

Loose-leaf notebook with business records from the McLoon Lobster Company from the mid-1950s. Most of the volume consists of notes about the company's wholesale lobster shipping business, including customer lists, queries and price quotes, and the costs and logistics of shipping live lobsters to cities as far away as Minneapolis and Albuquerqe. There are also notes about innovations in processing and preserving lobsters for shipment. A few pages are dedicated to advertising, mementos, printing lobster bibs, and other aspects of the retail lobster business in Rockland. McLoon Lobster Co.--notebook and address book of a large Rockland lobster pound and exporter. Lots of notes on developing a nationwide distribution network, methods of keeping lobsters alive, etc., from the 1950s.
