Logs of the Steamships CITY OF ROCKLAND and CAMDEN
Log-books from the steamers CITY OF ROCKLAND and CAMDEN, both owned by the Eastern Steamship Company and operated on the Boston to Bangor run, 1905 and 1907. The books contain printed lists of harbors and waypoints that the ships visited, filled in with the time that the steamers arrived at each. The books also note weather and tides, but other descriptive entries are rare. The CITY OF ROCKLAND log-book, dated 1905, is signed by Charles S. Crockett, who was a steamship pilot from Winterport, Maine.
