Steamboat SEBENOA
SEBENOA was one of several steamboats built in 1880 at Bath for the Maine Central Railroad. They carried passengers on an 8 mile cruise from Mount Desert Ferry to Bar Harbor, Maine. SEBENOA was assigned in the late 1800s to a longer route from Rockland to Bar Harbor. By 1902 she was replaced by more modern boats. In 1911 she was revived as a spare ferry from Rockland to Vinalhaven. In 1920 she was rebuilt as a tug.
