Steamboat GOLDENROD

GOLDENROD was an excursion steamer on the Penobscot River and Mount Desert area of Maine in her early years. She was built in 1893 at the Barbour yard in Brewer. In later years her home was Castine. This picture is dated March 8, 1907. The location was Belfast and the 75 ft. boat is surounded by ice. She ended her life in the mid 1930s at Castine.
