Steamboat FLORENCE

The small steamboat FLORENCE was built at Brewer, Maine, in 1882. She is pictured here in te Penobscot River at Bangor. Capt. Oscar A. Crockett and his Blue Hill Lines sailed her from there to Rockland, Blue Hill, Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island ports in the late 1800s. In 1904 he sold all his fleet to Eastern Steam Ship Co.
