View looking aft of the cabintop and skylights of the 52' gaff-rigged sloop DYON all tied beautifully together on a common base. The cabin top is varnished spruce, original from 1924 when the yacht was built. You can find stories of DYON in WoodenBoat and Maine Boats, Homes, etc. magazines. DYON which was designed by A. E. Luders / P. L. Smith and built in 1924 by Luders Marine Construction in Stamford, Connecticut. The photographs weretaken undeway for a cruise near Camden, Maine and shows George Cary and Steve Smith who, with me, made up our crew for this cruise-a relatively short one to Islesboro, returning the next day to Camden. - Maynard Bray 2021.
